The LYC holds it's first meeting. Jim Reutlinger, Bruce Hoch, Glen Jones and John Pennie are present aboard Tigress. Tanner elected as first Commodore.
June, 1998
Open elections for first bridge held. John Pennie elected as first (human) Commodore. General membership approves burgee designed by Bruce "Betsy Ross" Hoch.
July, 1998
The LYC is officially chartered as a not for profit organization in the State of New Jersey. Most of the lagalese is done. First running of the Paws Cup - Amarone declared winner. Membership reaches 25 families.
July, 1998
First club cruise. Ten boats make the journey to the North Shore Yacht Club on Long Island Sound. First club burgee exchanged. Lahrs III of the New York Yacht Club declines reciprocity to the LYC. Glenn Jones pens our motto, "Friendship, Seamanship & Time Well Spent".
January, 2000
First club trip to the BVI. The Bitter End Yacht Club (Virgin Gorda) follows Sidney's example and hangs the burgee of the LYC. Membership reaches 40 families.
September, 2004
Membership reaches 70 families. LYC joins Yacht Club of America.
Spring, 2005
LYC has largest Liberty State Park Clean-Up over a 2 day period during Earth Day Weekend. LYC Hosts Trans-Atlantic Rowing Challenge reception for race in June 2006.  LYC accepts reciprocity with City Island Yacht Club, Brant Beach Yacht Club, North Shore Yacht Club, Deep Creek Yacht Club and Marlboro Yacht Club.
July, 2005
Seven members of LYC Bare Boat in the BVI's for 10 days, the Bamba Shack at Loblolly Beach in Anegada gets a LYC Carving.
October, 2005
Commodore assigns new non-elected positions in LYC: Fleet Captain, Port Captain and Fleet Surgeon. New posts accepted by Andrew Kaskiw, Capt. Jim Chambers and Dr. Alan Sarokhan respectively.
November, 2006
LYC reaches 90 family memberships. Commodore once again assigns new non-elected positions in LYC: Harbor Master Power Captain, Sail Captain and House Chair creating 8 total non-elected officer positions in LYC. New post accepted by: Captain Tom Tuebert, Artie Epstein, Lenny Statile and Jean Kraft respectively.
